Homemade Chocolate Cake Mix Recipe Note: To Make it a Mix - just combine all dry ingredients together and store in a jar. Then keep instructions on hand and add the sour cream, eggs, vanilla when you're ready to prepare the mix. INGREDIENTS: 2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour 2 cups granulated sugar 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 2 teaspoons baking soda 4 eggs, well beaten 2 cups sour cream 1 teaspoon vanilla PREPARATION: Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking soda. Combine beaten eggs with sour cream and vanilla. Stir the egg mixture into the dry ingredients. Beat for 3 minutes on medium speed. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
